About Us
Responsive, responsible government. This citizen initiated recall petition gives Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville a clear, democratic voice to defend this right.
Why this petition?
Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk has repeatedly failed to be accessible, responsive, or aligned with the values of Fort Saskatchewan–Vegreville, remaining largely absent during critical community moments, ignoring constituents’ outreach, and demonstrating poor judgment including approving a government-funded essay promoting racist and anti-women rhetoric at a time when residents urgently need visible, engaged advocacy.
About
The petition application states, “I respectfully request the recall of Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk fails to represent Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville with the accessibility, accountability, and engagement constituents deserve. Residents report unanswered emails, ignored phone calls, and a lack of engagement or presence at critical community discussions. When voters require strong, visible advocacy she remains silent, such as when the government chose to remove citizen’s rights by utilizing the notwithstanding clause or when supporting the Mature Asset Strategy which shifts orphan well cleanup costs onto landowners. Her association with the 2022 essay scandal shows a history of poor judgement. Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville deserves an MLA who shows up, listens, and defends those they serve.
